This baseline assessment is designed to check pupils’ understanding of the Year 3 curriculum objectives at the start of Year 4. The activities are simple and focused, covering key grammar and punctuation skills such as prefixes, word families, conjunctions, adverbs, prepositions, paragraphing, headings, subheadings, verb tenses, inverted commas and vowels.
